ANDRADE ON THE PODIUM IN SILVERSTONE

The race marked Rui’s first sports car appearance at Silverstone, as ELMS returned to the iconic British circuit after a long hiatus.

Starting from seventh on the grid with Hiroshi at the wheel, the TF Sport squad executed a great strategy, steadily climbing through the field. With several red flag interruptions and the race ultimately ending under red flag conditions, their consistency paid off.

The fastest Angolan delivered a superb middle double-stint just as the rain started to intensify, keeping the car firmly in contention under treacherous conditions. Eastwood then completed the final leg, crossing the line in third place at TF Sport’s home event. This also marks Rui’s maiden podium at the iconic circuit.

The haul of 15 points moves Andrade, Koizumi, and Eastwood from P7 to P3 in the championship standings. With just 14 points to the leaders and 26 still up for grabs in the season finale, the title fight remains wide open.

Rui Andrade:

“It was a very challenging race with the changing weather and the red flags, but we stuck to our plan and brought home a podium, my first one here at Silverstone. I’m really proud of the team and my teammates, and now we go into the final round ready to fight for the championship.”

The 2025 European Le Mans Series season will conclude on October 18 in Portimao.
