The 19-year-old youngster from León, Mexico made his single-seater debut in 2020 after winning the prestigious Richard Mille Young Talent Academy competition, proving to be the best out of seventeen talented karting drivers to secure himself a seat in French F4.
Following a fruitful learning year in Formula 4, Rafael moved on to Formula 3 machinery for the 2021 season, running a double campaign in Euroformula Open with Van Amersfoort Racing, securing 5 podiums to date and FIA Formula 3 with HWA Racelab.
Villagomez is now ready to take the next step in his career and has turned to Bullet to support him on this journey.
Rafael Villagomez:
“I could not be happier to be joining the Bullet team and I look forward to working with them, the success they have achieved with all the drivers in 2021 is incredible. I am sure we can achieve the same together.
I would also like to personally thank Tom Claessen and all his work as a Manager with me over the past seasons. As I look back at our time together, I feel incredibly grateful and proud for everything we have accomplished. I look forward to watching him achieve great things as a Team Manager with VAR and hopefully collaborate again in the future.”
