OLIVER GOETHE SIGNS UP FOR 2020 SPANISH F4 SEASON WITH MP MOTORSPORT

Young Danish star Oliver Goethe has joined MP Motorsport for a full-season attack on the 2020 Spanish Formula 4 Championship. Goethe is the second last addition to a five-car line-up that already comprises Joshua Dufek and Kas Haverkort. A fourth signing is coming up soon.

15-year-old Goethe made his Spanish F4 debut – and indeed his motorsport debut – in last year’s final round at Barcelona, and has tested with MP Motorsport over the winter. He has now signed up with the Dutch squad for his first full-season assault, having initially continued in the WSK Super Master Series for OK karts.

“I’m happy to join MP Motorsport for my first full season in motor racing”, said Goethe. “In the past five years, they have been a leading force in Spanish F4, and I aim to continue the team’s winning form in the series. I can’t wait to join Josh and Kas for our first proper race meeting.”

“Oliver is an excellent addition to our line-up”, said Sander Dorsman, MP’s team manager. “He has shown well in karts, and proved to be on the pace when we tested him. We’ve been waiting a long time this year to go racing, but when we finally do I’m sure Oliver will deliver the goods.”

Last year, Goethe stepped up to the OK kart category, dovetailing his FIA and WSK commitments with racing in X30 Senior karts. Prior to that, the Dane drove in the X30 Junior category, claiming a runner-up in the French championship.
